Job Summary
Sports news consumption has fundamentally changed, requiring new talent, new formats, new platforms and new shows to be available to viewers and readers on any device at any time. We are focused on creating compelling digital content for this new generation of sports fans and are looking for passionate and creative sports journalists to write for Chat Sports and star on our live video broadcasts daily.

Staff Writers/Analysts will be expected to balance a challenging schedule with expectations of writing multiple articles per day, scripting and performing up to 3 videos/shows per day, and developing a celebrity on social media. You will work closely with our content and production teams and our show hosts to ideate and develop content and with our marketing lead to acquire traffic and viewers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Write compelling digital content for Chat Sports
• Utilize knowledge in search engine optimization and content marketing to acquire traffic
• Serve on-air for live shows and videos, and potentially host shows and/or podcasts
• Create scripts, analysis, and/or talking points for shows/segments accordingly
• Work closely with our production, marketing, and design leads to schedule, plan, and create content
• Work closely with our production team to ideate, research and develop new video/show concepts
• Develop your celebrity online and on social media
• Research and develop deep content knowledge in sports, including NFL, NCAA, NBA, and MLB

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, bring energy and passion to our company, and enjoy rolling up their sleeves to engage and tackle projects both big and small.

Candidates should be interested in working for a startup and taking on responsibilities that may or may not be in the day-to-day job description and may fluctuate on a daily basis as the company needs evolve.

Additional requirements include:

• Proven knowledge and ability in audience acquisition
• A portfolio of written sports content on a variety of topics
• A portfolio of on-camera experience with extraordinary camera presence
• Deep knowledge of sports, especially of the NFL, NCAA, NBA, and MLB
• Track record in developing a social media following
• Relevant experience working with production software, such as Livestream, Wirecast, TriCaster, etc. and video editing software, including Adobe Creative Cloud a bonus
• Relevant experiences in camera operation, lighting, and audio a bonus
